WASHINGTON: US-based Honeywell Technologies has proposed a plan to modernise and expand Pakistan’s refinery sector during a meeting with Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb in Washington.
According to the Finance Ministry, the proposal focuses on increasing domestic refining capacity, reducing dependence on imported petroleum products and strengthening Pakistan’s energy security. The discussions also covered Honeywell’s technology solutions and potential financing through the US Exim Bank, the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), export credit agencies and international lenders.
