War crimes by US

It is no secret that the wars waged by the United States of America destroyed thriving countries just for the sake of it. These invasions (as wars are fought by both sides) mostly started with baseless accusations and rumours that eventually turned out to be false. The invasion of Iraq is one such example in which the US invaded the country on a hunch that Saddam Hussein had nuclear weapons. Later, it was revealed that no such ammunition existed. However, by then the country was in ruins. The Syrian conflict was also exacerbated when foreign forces lent a hand to either side of the civil war. Had the objective of the intervention been a resolution between the two sides, the foreign superpowers could have opted for dialogue. It is clear, however, that conflict resolution is never the aim. Afghanistan was invaded as a result of the 9/11 attacks and the US government with all its world-class agencies could only think of invading and ravaging Afghanistan. The situation could’ve been dealt with in a better manner, but then how would have the arms business worked.

In a recent discovery by the New York Times, the total number of civilian casualties reported from the aforementioned invasions was much higher than what was reported by the United States. It has been revealed that many times innocent bystanders in groups were struck upon because they seemed suspicious. A group of men on motorcycles was attacked without any proof of them being militants (and they were not militants). A man was attacked as he was seen carrying a heavy object. Later it was found that the ‘heavy object’ was a child who was killed in the attack. The details of these attacks carried out by the US are gruesome. As much they boasted about their technology’s precision and ability to attack only those who are guilty, the technology failed and as always, innocent people were killed.

Now that the US pulls out of Afghanistan, the world is yet to see its next target. Tensions are building up with China regarding the Taiwan issue, but China is not any weak enemy that will give up so soon. There is growing Islamophobia around there as well, so Muslim countries once again must guard themselves against the wrath of the free world and the land of opportunities.
