Why Kylie Jenner doesn’t want more children right now: She finally reveals

Kylie Jenner is opening up about why she does not want to have more children right now.

The reality star and beauty mogul, 29, already shares two children with her former partner, rapper Travis Scott. The couple welcomed daughter Stormi in 2018 and son Aire in 2022. While Jenner has previously said she may want more children someday, she now wants to focus on herself and enjoy the remaining years of her 20s. (People.com⁠)

In a recent interview with Who What Wear, Jenner explained that becoming a mother at a young age changed the way she experienced her early adulthood. She said she made a promise to herself at 25 that she would not have another child “right now” so she could enjoy the second half of her 20s.

For Jenner, those early years were heavily shaped by pregnancy, recovery and motherhood. She also opened up about struggling with her mental health and postpartum depression after having her children.

Jenner said she felt that she had lost some of her younger years because she became a mother so early. Now, she wants to make the most of the opportunities available to her and experience things she may have missed.

“I feel like I lived such an adult life when I was young,” Jenner explained, adding that she wants to do brave things and take advantage of new opportunities. (The News International⁠)

Her comments come as Jenner continues to expand her career beyond reality television and beauty. She has been developing her fashion brand Khy and has also started exploring acting opportunities. She recently appeared in Charli XCX’s film The Moment and has received additional scripts, although she remains selective because major projects could require her to spend time away from her children. Jenner has also addressed recent pregnancy rumors involving her current boyfriend, actor Timothée Chalamet. She laughed off the speculation and said she has become accustomed to people creating their own stories about her personal life. (Us⁠)

During another recent conversation, Jenner described the idea of carrying another baby at this stage of her life as overwhelming. She also said she is almost completely certain that surrogacy would not be an option for her. (People.com⁠)

Her decision does not necessarily mean she has closed the door on motherhood forever. Instead, it reflects her desire to slow down, reclaim some of her youth and make space for herself before deciding whether to expand her family again.
