Wimbledon: Novak Djokovic’s prank on ball girl goes viral

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic entertained fans not only with his dominant victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas at Wimbledon but also with his playful sense of humour.

During the match, Djokovic asked a ball girl to help cut the black tape attached to his shoulder. As she began cutting it with a pair of scissors, Djokovic suddenly reacted as if she had accidentally cut him, causing the ball girl to panic.

A moment later, Djokovic burst into laughter and the ball girl realized it had all been a harmless prank.

After the match, Djokovic explained that he was simply trying to lighten the atmosphere and said he was sorry if the ball girl had been frightened.

Later, during his on-court interview, Djokovic also joked about the green jacket worn by renowned golfer Rory McIlroy who was sitting in the Royal Box. Smiling, he said he would love to win the jacket in exchange for his tennis match, drawing laughter and applause from the crowd.
