LAHORE: Police have arrested a woman accused of forcibly snatching an earring from a young girl in Lahore’s Islampura area, officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to police, the suspect was traced and taken into custody with the help of CCTV footage captured near the scene of the incident.
SP Atif said the accused has a history of involvement in theft and street-snatching cases registered at multiple police stations. He added that investigators are examining her possible links to other similar incidents.
Police said further legal proceedings are underway as the investigation continues.
