Zara Noor Abbas raises alarm over child safety and rising crimes

Pakistani actress Zara Noor Abbas has expressed deep concern over the growing number of crimes against children in Pakistan, describing the current situation as one of the “worst times” for the country.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the actress highlighted the increasing reports of sexual violence, murder and other serious crimes, saying that the issue goes beyond the incidents themselves. According to her, the bigger concern is the apparent lack of strong consequences for those involved in such crimes. She suggested that when perpetrators do not see meaningful punishment, it can encourage others to commit similar offences.

Zara Noor Abbas also questioned the overall state of law and order, stressing that the situation has become increasingly alarming for ordinary families. She pointed out that such incidents are no longer something that can be viewed as isolated cases or limited to a particular group. Instead, the frequency of disturbing reports has created a wider sense of insecurity within society.

The actress particularly raised concerns about parents who are struggling to understand how they can protect their children in an environment where serious crimes continue to make headlines. She questioned whether people are being pushed towards taking matters into their own hands because of a perceived lack of effective action under the law.

Zara also referred to the case involving Mir Raza Ali, in which his body was reportedly exhumed for another post-mortem examination. The case had initially been treated as a suspected suicide. However, a subsequent examination reportedly revealed that the deceased had been shot and had also suffered signs of physical violence.

The actress further expressed concern over the reported rape and murder of a minor girl in Karachi. She highlighted the discussion surrounding the alleged suspect’s young age and the possibility of providing psychological assistance because of his age.

While discussing these cases, Zara questioned how parents can realistically ensure the safety of their children when disturbing incidents continue to emerge. Her remarks reflected growing public anxiety over crimes involving minors and the fear that insufficient accountability could allow such cases to become more frequent.

The actress’s comments have drawn attention to the broader concerns surrounding child safety, justice and accountability in Pakistan.
