Security forces conducted intelligence-based operations in Miranshah and nearby areas. The operations targeted militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 21 terrorists were killed during the latest action. Several high-profile militants were among those eliminated, including individuals identified as Khalid, Maftoon, Musa, and Imran.
The military’s media wing said operations have continued over the past 72 hours. During this period, a total of 48 terrorists have been killed in different actions across the region.
Officials said the operations are part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism and dismantle militant networks operating in the area. Search and clearance operations are also continuing.
Following the successful operations, President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces. He said the elimination of terrorist leaders was a major achievement. He added that the nation stands with its armed forces.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated the security forces. He said the forces had neutralised several high-value targets, including four wanted militant commanders. He reiterated that the fight against terrorism will continue until its complete eradication.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the operation in Miranshah. He lauded the professionalism and bravery of the security personnel. He said the forces had foiled the designs of terrorists.
Officials said the campaign against militancy will continue with full force. They reaffirmed that the country remains committed to restoring peace and stability in the region.
