4-year-old girl allegedly raped and murdered in Gujrat

LAHORE – A tragic incident involving the alleged abduction, sexual assault and murder of a four-year-old girl in Village Karim Dad, Gujrat has sparked grief and outrage in the area. According to police, the girl’s body was allegedly placed in a sack and dumped into a nearby drain while an investigation into the incident is underway.

According to police records, the case was registered on August 27, 2026 at 5:50 p.m. at Sadar Jalalpur Jattan Police Station, District Gujrat. Under FIR No. SCJLPJ-27/8/2026-1753, an initial case of abduction was registered under Section 363 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

How did girl leave house?

According to the FIR, the girl’s father, Zeeshan Haider told police that at around 12:30 p.m. on August 27, his wife called him and informed him that their four-year-old daughter was watching a mobile phone at home when a young man named Muhammad Faizan arrived at the house and began playing with her.

According to the father, Muhammad Faizan later took the girl outside with him after which she did not return home. The FIR states that during the search, Muhammad Zubair Akram told the father that he had seen Muhammad Faizan taking the girl away with an unidentified boy. The father requested police to recover his daughter and take legal action.

Police investigation underway

According to police officials, the investigation later revealed allegations of sexual assault and murder involving the girl. Police said they are investigating Muhammad Faizan as a suspect while information was received that the girl’s body had allegedly been placed in a sack and thrown into a drain near Village Karim Dad.

Rescue 1122 and police teams launched a search operation in the drain to locate the body. Officials said the operation has faced difficulties due to darkness at night and the challenging terrain. Police said evidence related to the incident is being collected and all aspects of the case are being investigated to determine the individuals involved.

Concern over incidents involving bodies of young girls in Gujrat

The incident has further heightened concerns about child safety in Gujrat. According to local sources, incidents involving the recovery of the bodies of four missing girls from different areas of the district over the past two days have been reported prompting serious concern among citizens and social circles.

Citizens and residents have demanded immediate and strict action against those involved in crimes against children along with effective safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

An atmosphere of mourning prevails in Village Karim Dad following the incident with residents demanding justice for the innocent girl and calling for those responsible to be brought to justice.
