At least 40 people lost their lives and eight others were injured after a passenger coach fell into a deep ravine in the Danasar area on the Sherani–Zhob Highway on Friday.
The passenger coach was travelling from Quetta to Peshawar when the tragic accident occurred near Zhob, close to the border between Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Officials said the coach was carrying 48 passengers at the time of the crash. The vehicle reportedly veered off the road before plunging into a deep gorge in the mountainous region.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the accident. Ambulances, emergency medical personnel, and local authorities took part in the operation.
