Pakistani singer Aima Baig and fashion designer and entrepreneur Zain Ahmed have once again drawn public attention after their latest social media interaction appeared to challenge ongoing speculation about trouble in their marriage.
The speculation gained renewed attention after Zain Ahmed was announced as part of the BoF 500 Class of 2026, an annual list by The Business of Fashion recognising influential figures who have contributed to the global fashion industry.
Aima Baig publicly celebrated her husband’s achievement and expressed pride in his inclusion on the prestigious list. Zain Ahmed, who is the founder and creative director of Lahore-based fashion house Rastah, attended the BoF gala in Paris and later shared pictures from the event on Instagram.
Sharing moments from the gala, Zain described it as a memorable evening and thanked those working to contribute to the fashion industry. Aima responded to his post with a supportive comment, writing, “Proud and proud.”
Zain replied to her comment by thanking her for always supporting him. Their public exchange quickly attracted attention because it came amid months of speculation about the status of their relationship.
Zain Ahmed is the second Pakistani designer to be included in the BoF 500. Designer Faraz Manan became the first Pakistani to make the list in 2024.
The BoF 500 is an annual recognition programme that highlights individuals who are considered influential in shaping the global fashion industry through design, business and culture. New members are selected following months of nominations and editorial evaluation, with the 2026 class announced during a gala held alongside Paris Fashion Week.
Meanwhile, rumours about difficulties between Aima and Zain have circulated for several months. The couple got married in a private Nikah ceremony in Canada on August 6, 2025.
Reports of differences between them first emerged in October 2025 after Zain reportedly unfollowed Aima on Instagram and removed their wedding photographs from his social media account. He later explained that the posts had been archived because of a technical issue. The photographs were subsequently restored, and he followed Aima again.
Speculation resurfaced in September 2026 after Aima shared photographs carrying the caption “Status: Single”. Several media reports later claimed, citing unnamed sources, that the couple had mutually decided to separate.
However, neither Aima Baig nor Zain Ahmed has publicly confirmed those reports. Their latest social media exchange, in which Aima congratulated Zain and he thanked her for her continued support, has therefore attracted attention and prompted fresh discussion about the couple’s relationship.
