An audio message of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has surfaced from a party WhatsApp group, in which he discussed issues related to governance, government funds, and lawmakers’ salaries.
In the leaked audio, Gandapur claimed that drone attacks and security operations in the province were being carried out using funds from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
He said provincial ministers and members of the assembly were trying to stop projects involving poor-quality work. However, he added that criticism over poor governance was ultimately directed towards the government.
Gandapur also expressed concerns over internal party decisions, saying that a “dictatorial attitude” within the party could worsen the situation and create more problems.
While discussing the issue of increasing salaries, he demanded that the names of those who supported the salary increase proposal and the related act should be made public. He said PTI founder Imran Khan had previously refused to increase the salaries of provincial assembly members.
“I am not part of this,” Gandapur was heard saying in the audio message.
Meanwhile, Gandapur’s spokesperson Faraz Mughal confirmed the authenticity of the audio, stating that the voice in the leaked recording belongs to Ali Amin Gandapur.
The leaked message has sparked discussion within political circles, with further reactions expected from party leaders and other stakeholders.
