Alizeh Shah’s robotic filtered look in recent video trolled

Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has once again become the center of social media discussion after a recent Instagram video sparked mixed reactions from fans. While some admired her confidence and style, many users criticized what they described as an overly filtered appearance, with several comparing her look to a “robot” or an AI-generated character.  

Alizeh Shah is one of Pakistan’s most recognizable young television stars. She rose to fame at the age of 16 and won audiences over with memorable performances in hit dramas such as Ehd-e-Wafa, Dil Mom Ka Diya, Ishq Tamasha, Mera Dil Mera Dushman, Taqdeer, Mohabbat Ki Aakhri Kahani, Khail and Tana Bana. Despite taking a step back from television in recent months, she remains highly active on Instagram, where she has more than 4.3 million followers and regularly shares photos and videos from her daily life.  

The latest controversy began after Alizeh uploaded a short video featuring heavy beauty filters and edited visual effects. While the actress appeared confident and unbothered, many social media users claimed the filters made her face look artificial. Some commented that her natural beauty did not need so much editing, while others joked that she looked “robotic” because of the smooth facial effects and enhanced features.  

The comments section quickly filled with criticism, although several fans also defended the actress. Supporters argued that using filters is a personal choice and that celebrities should not be judged so harshly for experimenting with their appearance. Others pointed out that many influencers and public figures use similar editing tools on social media, making the backlash against Alizeh seem excessive.  

This is not the first time Alizeh has faced online trolling over her appearance. Over the past few years, she has frequently been criticized for her fashion choices, hairstyle, makeup, weight loss and social media content. Earlier, the actress publicly spoke about the emotional impact of constant online criticism, saying that harsh comments deeply affect her and urging people to show more kindness on social media.  

Professionally, Alizeh continues to attract attention for her acting career. She recently earned praise for her performance in Green Entertainment’s Khwaab Meray (also referred to as Waap Mere by some viewers), and reports suggest she will soon return to television with a new Hum TV drama.  

Although opinions remain divided over her latest Instagram video, the incident once again highlights how closely celebrities are scrutinized online. Whether praised or criticized, Alizeh Shah continues to generate conversation, proving that she remains one of Pakistan’s most talked-about young actresses.
