He said efforts would continue around the clock to restore peace and promote development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also pledged that public funds would be spent on the welfare of citizens rather than being diverted for personal benefit.
According to the federal minister the province had experienced a period of alleged corruption mismanagement and insecurity which he said should now come to an end. He further claimed that the era in which individuals accused of supporting militant groups exercised influence was over.
Muqam described public welfare as the government’s central priority saying that resources belonging to the people should be spent directly on their needs and development.
Referring to the gathering in Batkhela he claimed that the large public turnout demonstrated people’s support for the state.
Discussing the decision to impose governor’s rule, Muqam said it had been taken in the interest of the province. However, he stressed that residents should also see practical improvements in governance and development.
