Prominent racers have raised serious concerns over safety and rescue arrangements at the 11th Thal Jeep Rally in Muzaffargarh, alleging that the administration failed to respond promptly to accidents during the stock category races.
Speaking to the media, renowned racer Mir Nadir Magsi said the administration failed to provide timely rescue services after accidents involving racers during the competition. He said emergency response teams did not reach the accident site near the midpoint for nearly two hours, despite the incident.
Racer Sahibzada Sultan also called for improvements in safety measures, stressing that the administration needed to take better care of participants’ security during the rally.
Racer Faisal Shadi Khel expressed disappointment over the rescue arrangements, saying organisers repeatedly claim that an air ambulance and emergency services are available, but racers have yet to see them in action.

Faisal added that racers were disappointed with the safety and emergency response arrangements and had serious reservations about the measures taken by the administration to protect participants.
