Andy Cohen has admitted that he would struggle to survive on The Traitors, believing he would become an early target if he ever joined the popular reality competition.
The Bravo executive and Watch What Happens Live host recently addressed the possibility of appearing on the Peacock reality series while attending the opening night of the Broadway production Other Desert Cities at the Hudson Theatre in New York on October 18.
When asked whether he would consider competing on the show, Cohen gave an honest response, suggesting that his time in the competition would probably be short-lived.
He explained that he expected to be voted out almost immediately, making it clear that he was not particularly confident about his chances of navigating the show’s complicated social dynamics.
Cohen’s comments come as The Traitors continues to attract familiar faces from the Real Housewives franchise, which he executive produces. Over its four seasons, the reality competition has welcomed numerous personalities associated with the Bravo universe.
Among the former Real Housewives stars who have appeared on the show are Kate Chastain, Tamra Judge, Mercedes Javid, Tom Sandoval, Dolores Catania, Lisa Rinna, Candiace Bassett and Dorinda Medley.
Dolores Catania was among the winners of the third season in 2025, sharing the victory with Dylan Efron, Gabby Windey and Lord Ivar Mountbatten.
While Cohen remains doubtful about his own chances, several personalities from the Real Housewives franchise have expressed interest in participating in the competition. Some have indicated that they would be comfortable taking on either role, whether playing as a Faithful or attempting to deceive the other contestants as a Traitor.
Cohen previously shared similar thoughts about joining the show during an interview in August. At the time, he revealed that he had not received an invitation to compete and questioned whether his professional responsibilities would allow him to participate.
As the host of the Traitors reunion specials, Cohen plays an important role in bringing contestants together after each season concludes. He suggested that competing on the programme could complicate his ability to continue hosting those reunions.
He also acknowledged that his experience producing competitive reality television could work against him. Having spent years understanding how these programmes operate, Cohen believes other contestants might view him as a threat and decide to eliminate him before he had the opportunity to influence the game.
His concerns reflect the strategic nature of The Traitors, where contestants must build trust, identify deception and make difficult decisions while attempting to avoid becoming targets themselves.
The reality television personality has also revealed that he previously declined an opportunity to compete on another popular programme, Dancing with the Stars.
According to Cohen, he was approached about joining the dance competition several years ago but ultimately decided against participating. He jokingly questioned whether audiences would want to watch him compete and expressed a preference for dancing without the pressure of television cameras and public scrutiny.
Cohen added that he once considered himself an excellent freestyle dancer. However, videos of him dancing at Dead shows have circulated online, with some clips attracting attention and mockery on TikTok.
Meanwhile, the future of Cohen’s involvement with The Traitors reunion specials remains uncertain. The upcoming season is expected to introduce non-celebrity contestants, potentially bringing a different dynamic to the competition.
Although no decision has been announced regarding the next reunion host, Cohen’s latest comments suggest that he is more comfortable discussing the contestants’ experiences than putting his own strategic abilities to the test.
For now, fans may have to settle for seeing Cohen question the players from the reunion stage rather than watching him attempt to outsmart his fellow contestants inside the castle.
