Apple Music officially launches in Pakistan after 11 years

Apple Music is now officially available in Pakistan, ending an 11-year wait for users seeking access through local Apple accounts.

The music streaming service, which launched globally in 2015, is now available to Pakistani users with subscription plans starting at Rs379 per month. The Individual plan costs Rs379, while the Family plan is priced at Rs649. New subscribers can also get a one-month free trial.

Pakistan is among four countries where Apple Music has recently expanded its availability, alongside Albania, Brunei and Burkina Faso.

The launch allows users with Pakistan-based Apple accounts to access Apple Music directly through the Music app on supported Apple devices. They can stream songs and albums, create playlists, receive personalised recommendations and download music for offline listening.

Depending on device and content availability, users can also access features such as lossless audio and Dolby Atmos.

Before the official launch, Pakistani users generally needed accounts registered to other regions to subscribe to the service. The expansion now brings Apple Music into the local Apple ecosystem.

Apple Music has already been available in several Asian and Middle Eastern markets, including India, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and Japan.
