Asim Azhar says unarchiving old Instagram posts felt like “going through a time machine”

Pakistani singer Asim Azhar has taken fans on a nostalgic journey after unarchiving more than 600 old Instagram posts, including several featuring actress Hania Aamir. The move quickly became a trending topic on social media, with fans revisiting moments from the singer’s personal and professional journey.  

Explaining the reason behind the decision, Asim shared on his Instagram Story that he restored the posts after repeated requests from his followers. Reflecting on the experience, he wrote that unarchiving the content “felt like going through a time machine” and admitted that revisiting those memories was an enjoyable experience.  

The restored archive includes career milestones, concert moments, behind-the-scenes photos, and personal memories spanning several years. However, it was the reappearance of posts featuring Hania Aamir that immediately caught the internet’s attention. Fans quickly shared screenshots and clips from the restored content, sparking widespread nostalgia and renewed discussion across social media platforms.  

Among the posts that resurfaced were promotional content for Asim’s song Sassi, which featured the pair dancing together, as well as an award ceremony moment from 2020. These memories reminded longtime followers of a period when Asim and Hania were one of Pakistan’s most talked-about celebrity pairs.  

While fans focused heavily on the posts featuring Hania, Asim later responded with humor, pointing out that he had restored hundreds of other posts documenting his musical journey and achievements.
