The chief minister sought an immediate report on the incident from the Lahore commissioner and the Director General of Rescue 1122.
She also praised Rescue 1122 teams for safely rescuing more than 10 children from the rubble during the emergency operation.
Maryam Nawaz directed authorities to ensure the provision of the best possible and immediate medical treatment to the injured children and other victims.
She further ordered strict legal action against those found responsible for negligence or substandard construction practices that may have contributed to the incident.
The chief minister announced that a comprehensive safety audit of schools located in densely populated areas would be carried out without delay to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
She also stressed that even a single second of delay in rescue operations would not be tolerated and directed all relevant departments to maintain the highest level of emergency preparedness.
