Maulana Saeed Yousuf said that for the first time in the political history of Azad Kashmir, JUI and PPP have formed a formal electoral understanding. He stated that candidates from both parties would withdraw in favor of each other in selected constituencies, while campaign efforts would also be jointly coordinated.
He further noted that JUI would fully support PPP candidates in various constituencies, while PPP leaders have also shown cooperation by withdrawing candidates in certain seats. He thanked PPP leadership, including Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, for facilitating the agreement.
During the press conference, PPP candidate Nabeeha Ayyub from Palandri also announced her withdrawal in favor of Maulana Saeed Yousuf, stating that although she considered herself a strong candidate, she respected the party decision and would support JUI in the election campaign.
