Off Campus star Belmont Cameli has put an end to speculation about a possible feud with co-star Ella Bright, praising the young actress for her talent, dedication and performance in the hit series.
The 28-year-old American actor recently spoke highly of Bright, 19, describing her as the perfect choice to play Hannah Wells. Cameli, who portrays Garrett Graham in the popular series, made it clear that he has nothing but admiration for his co-star and their working relationship remains strong.
“Everything about Ella makes the perfect Hannah,” Cameli said while discussing Bright’s performance. He praised her acting abilities and dedication, adding that she is the best person for the role.
His comments come after fans began questioning the pair’s relationship earlier this year. Social media users noticed that Cameli had removed several Instagram posts featuring Bright during the production of the second season. The move quickly sparked rumours that the two actors may have fallen out.
However, Cameli has now dismissed the speculation and insisted that there is no tension between them. Instead, he highlighted the playful friendship they have developed since the first season of Off Campus.
The actor revealed that he often calls Bright “Wellsy”, referring to her character Hannah Wells. He jokingly recalled how she reacts whenever he uses the nickname.
“I’ve been calling her ‘Wellsy’ a lot, which is really fun. And she always rolls her eyes,” he shared, describing the interaction as part of their friendly dynamic.
Cameli’s comments also come as he continues to deal with the growing attention surrounding his personal and professional life. As Off Campus has gained popularity, the actor has found himself under increased scrutiny from fans online.
Earlier this month, Cameli opened up about the pressure that comes with being part of a successful series. He explained that actors are not only judged for their performances but also face constant interest in their private lives.
According to the actor, the popularity of Off Campus has created a new level of fandom, particularly because of social media and online discussions. While he appreciates the support from genuine fans, he admitted that the intense attention can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Cameli said he has learned to handle the criticism by reminding himself that online comments do not define his actual life. He explained that people can say whatever they want about him or those close to him, but he remains confident in his own reality.
The actor previously spoke about his friendship with Bright, making it clear that they enjoy spending time together on set. He said working on a demanding project would be difficult if the cast members did not genuinely like one another.
Cameli described himself and Bright as “really, really good friends” and praised the strong bond they have developed while filming the series. He also noted that they spend a considerable amount of time together during production and get along extremely well.
Bright has similarly spoken positively about her experience working with the cast. The actress said the team shares a strong passion for the series and its characters, making the filming experience more enjoyable.
She explained that having talented and supportive co-stars helps reduce the pressure that comes with being part of a major production. For Bright, being able to share the journey with people who care deeply about the show has made the experience particularly special.
Based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling book series, Off Campus premiered on Amazon Prime Video on May 13, 2026. The second season is currently being filmed in Vancouver, Canada, with production expected to finish in September.
The upcoming season is currently expected to premiere in spring or mid-2027, giving fans plenty of time to look forward to the return of Garrett, Hannah and the rest of the beloved characters.
