BIPP opens office at KITAAS to boost research and leadership

Lahore: The Burki Institute of Public Policy (BIPP) has established its office at the Khaldunia Institute of Technology and Applied Sciences (KITAAS), marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at advancing research, academic excellence, and leadership development. The collaboration will create new opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty through joint initiatives in education and public policy.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Nizamuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of KITAAS, inaugurated the BIPP office and highlighted the importance of building strong institutional partnerships to address emerging academic and policy challenges. He said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to promoting quality research, innovation, and leadership among young people.

The inauguration ceremony brought together several prominent educationists and policymakers, including BIPP Chairman Shahid Najam, BIPP Director General Dr. Ejaz Sandhu, KITAAS Director General Dr. Bushra Inayat, former Vice Chancellor of GC Women University Faisalabad Professor Dr. Rubina Farooq, and other distinguished guests.

Dr. Nizamuddin explained that both institutions will jointly undertake research projects, policy studies, academic publications, conferences, seminars, and capacity-building programs. They also plan to introduce internships, mentorship opportunities, scholarships, and leadership training to equip students with practical skills and prepare them for future challenges.

He further announced plans to support the installation of a 50-kilowatt solar power system at the KITAAS campus, describing the initiative as part of the institution’s commitment to sustainability and modern infrastructure.

BIPP Chairman Shahid Najam thanked Dr. Muhammad Nizamuddin and the KITAAS leadership for providing office space for the institute. He expressed confidence that the partnership would strengthen academic collaboration and create meaningful opportunities for students. He emphasized that investing in leadership development is essential for preparing a capable and responsible generation that can contribute effectively to Pakistan’s progress and public policy landscape.
