Jayden James is stepping further into the spotlight with his latest career move. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s son has made his editorial debut, fronting MACzine, the beauty brand’s relaunched digital publication.

On Tuesday, August 25, the 19-year-old was announced as the face of MAC’s latest cover, pictured holding the brand’s well-known Fix Plus Setting Spray.

During his interview for the feature, Jayden fielded a few beauty-related questions. When asked about his approach, he kept it simple, crediting hydration as his main focus while joking that his girlfriend actually handles most of his skincare routine.

MAC’s Global Creative Director, Nicola Formichetti, spoke about why Jayden was chosen for the cover. He explained that MAC has always enjoyed spotlighting rising talent and following their creative paths, adding that Jayden’s distinct personality made him a natural fit. Formichetti also praised Jayden’s musical talent, noting he’s an accomplished pianist, and expressed excitement about his future projects.

Earlier this month, Jayden attended MAC’s House of Glass party in Los Angeles on August 12, dressed in an all-black outfit for the event.

This latest opportunity builds on Jayden’s growing modelling ambitions. He recently opened up to Vogue about wanting to pursue a modelling career more seriously, following his runway debut alongside older brother Sean Preston, 20, at the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show during Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

Britney Spears was not able to attend the runway show in person, but sent flowers to show her support for both sons.

The pop star and her children have reportedly grown closer in recent months. Following Spears pleading guilty to a DUI charge in May, both sons reportedly encouraged their mother to seek treatment.

With Jayden now stepping confidently into modelling and beauty campaigns, and Sean Preston walking runways alongside him, both sons appear to be carving out public identities of their own, separate from their famous parents.
