Bunnie XO reveals what fans didn’t see during her Jelly Roll divorce

Bunnie XO is giving fans a deeply personal look at the pain she kept largely hidden while going through her divorce from country star Jelly Roll.

The 46-year-old media personality opened up about the emotional and physical toll of the split during an appearance on Jenna Bush Hager’s Open Book podcast. While Bunnie often appeared strong in public, she revealed that privately she was struggling far more than many people realized.

“There were moments when my team had to pick me up off the floor and give me IVs,” Bunnie said, explaining that she had reached a point where she was barely eating. She said she was surviving on baby food and ultimately lost 20 pounds.

Her revelation offers a striking contrast to the image many fans saw online. Bunnie explained that she had made a personal decision not to break down emotionally on camera, meaning her public appearances did not necessarily reflect what was happening behind the scenes.

“I vowed a long time ago not to break down on camera,” she explained.

Bunnie did, however, briefly allow fans into her private world through her Dumb Blonde podcast. She previously discussed the breakup in an episode that was later removed. She explained that she eventually decided she did not want to keep revisiting that painful period of her life.

The divorce marked the end of Bunnie and Jelly Roll’s relationship after nearly a decade together. The couple married in 2016 and finalized their divorce in July 2026. Their settlement included arrangements involving property, vehicles, an aircraft and intellectual property, while some financial details remained private.

Despite the heartbreak, Bunnie made it clear that she does not want her divorce to define her identity. She said she does not want to become “the poster child for divorce” and emphasized that it was time to move forward.

Her comments also come after Jelly Roll publicly addressed the breakup in June. During a concert, he rejected rumors of infidelity and said that he and Bunnie remained best friends. He expressed gratitude for their years together and described their relationship with continued affection.

For Bunnie, however, moving forward has meant acknowledging the pain rather than pretending it never happened.

Her latest confession shows that even when someone looks composed, their private reality can be completely different. Behind the confidence, cameras and social-media posts was a woman dealing with heartbreak, physical exhaustion and the difficult process of rebuilding her life.

Now, Bunnie appears determined to leave that chapter behind—not by denying what happened, but by learning from it and choosing to move forward.
