CDF Asim Munir meets Ghana Defence Chief

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Ghana’s Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapong, met Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, during his visit to General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

Upon his arrival at GHQ, the visiting military chief was presented with a guard of honour.

During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defence cooperation. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening military-to-military relations between Pakistan and Ghana.

According to ISPR, special focus was placed on counterterrorism cooperation, joint military training, and collaboration in defence production.

Lieutenant General William Agyapong praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s role in promoting regional stability.

Separately, Ghana’s National Security Coordinator, Abdul-Razak Osman, held meetings with Pakistan’s Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu. Ghana’s Chief of Defence Staff was also present during these engagements.

The meetings reflected the growing defence and security cooperation between Pakistan and Ghana and underscored both countries’ interest in enhancing military collaboration
