CM Sohail Afridi visits Aayat Noor’s house in Haripur, vows justice

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi visited the residence of five-year-old Aayat Noor in Haripur

RAWALPINDI:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi visited the residence of five-year-old Aayat Noor in Haripur and met with her grieving family following the tragic incident that claimed the life of the innocent child.

The Chief Minister expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathized with Aayat Noor’s family. He also offered Fateha and prayed for the departed soul, assuring the family that the government would stand by them during this difficult time.

With deep emotion, CM Sohail Afridi said that Aayat Noor’s tragic incident is a heartbreaking reminder of the urgent need to protect children. He questioned the performance of the police and government institutions, saying that if children are not safe despite the presence of law-enforcement agencies and government departments, then those remember  institutions have failed in their basic responsibility.

He said, “If children are not safe despite the police and government, then what is the purpose of these offices? They should be locked.”

The Chief Minister became emotional while talking about the five-year-old Aayat Noor and said that a child of such a young age deserves nothing but love, care, protection, and happiness.

CM Sohail Afridi further announced that the Child Protection Bill would be named after Aayat Noor so that her name would remain a symbol of the province’s commitment to protecting children.

He vowed that the government would pursue the case and make every possible effort to ensure justice for Aayat Noor and her family. He also assured the grieving family that those responsible for the tragedy would be held accountable according to the law.

The Chief Minister’s visit to Aayat Noor’s home was a message of solidarity with the bereaved family and a pledge that the government would take meaningful steps to make children safer across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
