Court orders arrest of two in Anmol Pinky case

A Karachi anti-narcotics court has ordered the arrest of two suspects in a drug case involving Anmol, also known as Pinky. The court was hearing proceedings against Anmol and other accused in the case.

Prison authorities presented Anmol before the court through a video link. However, her brother Muhammad Nasir and co-accused Naseem Bibi did not appear before the court. The judge expressed displeasure over their absence.

The court subsequently issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Muhammad Nasir and Naseem Bibi. The investigation officer was directed to arrest both suspects and produce them before the court at the next hearing.

The court also directed the investigation officer to submit the challan in the case. The hearing was then adjourned until the last week of August.

According to the prosecution, Anmol Pinky, Muhammad Nasir and Naseem Bibi are nominated as accused in the case. The prosecution alleges that the suspects were involved in the sale of narcotics.

The Anti-Narcotics Force registered the case against the accused in 2019. The case proceedings are continuing before the Karachi anti-narcotics court.
