CTD Karachi Foils Major Terror Plot – 3 Terrorists Arrested in Joint Operation with Federal Intelligence Agency

*Indian-Backed BLA and Fitna al-Khawarij TTP Terrorists Planned to Target Sensitive Installations and LEAs Offices in Karachi*

KARACHI : In a major counter-terrorism breakthrough, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Karachi in a joint operation with a Federal Sensitive Agency has arrested 3 terrorists in different parts of Karachi and foiled a major terror plot to target sensitive locations and law enforcement agencies offices.*

According to CTD spokesperson, *2 terrorists belong to Indian-backed banned organization Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA)* and *1 terrorist belongs to Fitna al-Khawarij banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)*. A ready-made IED, a hand grenade and a 30-bore pistol have been recovered from their possession.

Initial investigation revealed that the arrested terrorists were planning to attack sensitive locations and offices of law enforcement agencies in Karachi.

*OPERATION 1: Two Indian-Backed BLA Terrorists Arrested from Gulistan-e-Jauhar*

On a secret tip-off, the joint team of CTD Karachi and Federal Sensitive Agency conducted a raid near *Main University Road, Block-07, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi* and arrested two trained terrorists of BLA.

*Identified as:*

1. *Raheem Fazal s/o Fazal Mahmood*
2. *Balach Baloch s/o Rasool Bakhsh*

CTD was informed that two trained terrorists belonging to the banned organization were present in Karachi on the instructions of their organizational commander.

Preliminary information revealed that the said terrorists remained involved in target killings, kidnappings and attacks on security forces in Balochistan, while they had received weapons training in *Afghanistan*.

According to initial interrogation, the arrested terrorists were in constant contact with their organizational commander and were planning to target sensitive locations and LEA offices in the city through a ready-made IED and hand grenade.

– 01 x Ready-made Improvised Explosive Device (IED)
– 01 x Hand Grenade

*OPERATION 2: Fitna al-Khawarij TTP Terrorist Arrested from Gulbai*

In a separate operation, the joint team arrested a terrorist affiliated with banned TTP from *underneath Gulbai Chowk Bridge.*

*Shah Noor Rehman Khan s/o Akhtar Alam*

One 30-bore pistol with loaded magazine and 5 rounds was recovered from his possession.

During initial interrogation, the terrorist revealed that he along with his other accomplices remained involved in attacks on security forces in Waziristan. According to the terrorist, he came to Karachi on the instructions of his organizational commander where he was planning to do recce of law enforcement agencies offices and target them.

– 01 x Loaded Magazine
– 05 x Rounds

Cases have been registered against the arrested terrorists at PS CTD Karachi:

2. *FIR No. 108/2026* u/s 4/5 Explosive Substances Act 1908 r/w 7-ATA 1997 – PS CTD Karachi
3. *FIR No. 109/2026* u/s 23(I)A Sindh Arms Act 2013 – PS CTD Karachi

Investigation is underway against the arrested terrorists, while further legal and investigative measures are being taken to reach other elements involved in possible terrorist activities.

Identification and arrest of their other accomplices, facilitators and financial supporters is in progress. Further interrogation is underway.
