Dr Mahnoor, the female doctor injured in a recent acid attack in Quetta, is currently in stable condition after being shifted to Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) in Karachi for specialized treatment.

Medical sources confirmed that she suffered burns on around 13% of her body. The affected areas include her face, abdomen, thighs, and right hand.

Although both of her eyes were exposed to the acid, doctors confirmed that her eyesight remains intact. Specialists in plastic surgery and ophthalmology examined her and shifted her to a special care unit for further treatment.

Her condition is being closely monitored, and another detailed medical evaluation is expected within the next 24 hours. Hospital sources described her condition as stable and satisfactory.

Meanwhile, a young man who tried to rescue Dr Mahnoor during the attack is also receiving treatment in Quetta. Officials said he is under observation, and his condition is stable.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident. The main suspect was later killed in a police encounter during an operation near Nushki after reportedly opening fire on law enforcement personnel.

The incident has triggered widespread concern, with calls for stronger action against violence targeting medical professionals and women.
