According to the ICC, Sri Lanka was fined 10 percent of its match fee after being found guilty of a slow over rate in the match.
The ICC stated that the Sri Lankan team was two overs short of the required target within the allotted time. As a result, match referee Richie Richardson imposed the penalty on the team.
It is worth noting that Sri Lanka captain Kusal Mendis accepted responsibility for the offence and admitted the breach.
