According to reports, the game will be released on the Netflix gaming platform, Netflix Games on June 11 aligning with the opening of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
FIFA stated that the game will be exclusively available to Netflix subscribers and will not require any additional payment beyond a Netflix subscription.
The game will feature all 48 teams participating in the 2026 World Cup and will allow players to compete in 16 different stadiums. FIFA also revealed that the game includes more than 1,200 footballers.
One of the game’s standout features is that players will be able to use their smartphones as controllers and connect to their televisions by scanning a QR code. Up to four players will be able to play together simultaneously.
According to FIFA, this release marks the beginning of a long-term gaming strategy with additional features and support for more platforms expected in the future. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted jointly by United States, Canada and Mexico with the tournament set to begin on June 11, 2026.
