Salman Khan’s former girlfriend supports filmmaker as dispute over upcoming film and legal threats intensify

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again found himself at the center of a legal and media controversy. This time, the dispute is connected to the upcoming film Kala Hiran, which is reportedly inspired by the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The matter escalated after Salman Khan’s former girlfriend, Simi Ali, publicly voiced her support for the film’s producer, Amit Jani.

Simi Ali shared her views in a comment on Instagram while responding to a post by Amit Jani. In her message, she stated that everyone has the right to make a film on any subject. She further argued that only those who are guilty try to silence others through threats. The remark quickly attracted attention and sparked fresh debate online.

According to Amit Jani, he has been receiving serious threats following a legal notice sent by Salman Khan’s team. He alleged that the notice created pressure and triggered a wave of threatening messages. As a result, the issue has grown into a broader controversy involving legal action and social media backlash.

The producer also claimed that thousands of messages have reached him in recent days. Many of them, he said, contained death threats. Messages reportedly arrived from various locations, causing concern for his safety. Jani added that one message appeared to have been circulated through a “toolkit,” although he could not verify its authenticity.

Speaking about the growing controversy, Jani explained that the situation intensified after receiving extensive media coverage. Questions from journalists about his response to the legal notice became more frequent. However, he said the constant pressure from online threats made it difficult to provide a clear answer.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s legal representatives have issued a formal notice to the makers of Kala Hiran. Their argument is that the film is based on a case that remains under consideration in the Rajasthan High Court. They contend that producing a film on such a sensitive matter could infringe upon Salman Khan’s personal rights and potentially affect ongoing legal proceedings.

The legal team has further emphasized the sensitivity of the subject. In their view, presenting the story in a cinematic format could spread misinformation and influence public opinion while the case remains unresolved.

Defending the project, Amit Jani said that his production team has consistently worked on films inspired by real-life events. He maintained that the goal is not to defame anyone but to present a cinematic interpretation of information already available in the public domain.

As an example, Jani pointed to his previous project, Udaipur Files, which was also based on a real incident. He noted that Kala Hiran follows a similar creative approach. Filmmakers, he argued, should have the freedom to tell stories inspired by real events.

As developments continue, the controversy shows no signs of slowing down. Legal notices, public statements, social media reactions, and celebrity involvement have all contributed to the growing debate. With Simi Ali’s support adding another dimension to the discussion, the issue has become an increasingly prominent topic within the entertainment industry.
