A factory worker allegedly died by suicide after hanging himself at his residence in the Bhutanpura area on the outskirts of Kot Radha Kishan, according to police and family members.

Relatives told police that the deceased had been experiencing severe mental distress in recent days after receiving an electricity bill amounting to Rs42,000, which they claimed had become a major source of anxiety. They alleged that the financial burden and ongoing stress may have contributed to the tragic incident.

Upon receiving information, police reached the scene and shifted the body to a nearby hospital for a post-mortem examination and completion of legal formalities.

Investigators have launched an inquiry to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death. Police said statements from family members and other relevant evidence are being collected as part of the investigation.
