In a tragic incident in Karachi, a traffic police official reportedly took his own life while on duty on Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Khan Road within the jurisdiction of the Civil Lines police station.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South, Mahzoor Ali, the deceased has been identified as Head Constable Nawaz Nadeem Qureshi. The officer, who was a resident of the Nafeesabad area in PIB Colony, sustained a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head while performing his official duties.

Following the incident, law enforcement authorities shifted the body to a nearby hospital to complete the necessary legal and post-mortem formalities. While the motive behind the extreme step remains unclear, police officials have initiated a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death.
