FIA immigration arrests wanted suspect at Multan airport

Multan: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Wing has arrested a wanted suspect, Sajawal, during an operation at Multan Airport.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspect had been wanted by the Punjab Police for the past three years. The FIA’s National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol had also issued a Red Notice for his arrest.

The spokesperson said Sajawal had been wanted by the police station in Rajana, Toba Tek Singh, since 2023. A case had been registered against him under charges related to attempted murder, while his name had also been placed on the stop list.

The suspect was arrested by FIA Immigration officials upon his arrival in Pakistan at Multan Airport.

Following his arrest, FIA Immigration Multan handed Sajawal over to the relevant Punjab Police authorities for further legal proceedings.
