DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has distributed performance-based grants worth Rs567.673 million among public and private sector universities across the province but Gomal University completely failed to receive any share from this grant due to rampant corruption and poor performance.
Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar, secured the top position in the grant takers.
The provincial government stated that the performance grant initiative aims to encourage institutional excellence, improve academic standards, promote research activities, and create healthy competition among higher education institutions.

In the emerging institutions category, Pak-Austria Fachhochschule IAST Haripur secured the top position and received Rs37.84 million, while Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar, University of Haripur, and other institutions received grants according to their rankings.
