The spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs announced that more than 51,000 intending pilgrims have registered for Hajj 2027 within the first two days of the registration drive.

According to the ministry, around 46,000 applicants completed their registration online from home through the official portal, while another 5,000 registered using the Pak Hajj mobile application.

The spokesperson said that 41,000 applicants opted for the government Hajj scheme, while nearly 10,000 chose the private Hajj scheme.

Punjab recorded the highest number of registrations with 24,000 applicants, followed by Sindh with 16,000 and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 7,000. More than 3,000 people registered from Islamabad, while 800 applications were received from Balochistan, 260 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and 77 from Gilgit-Baltistan.

The ministry further stated that the registered pilgrims include approximately 30,000 men and 21,000 women, with the majority of applicants falling in the 30 to 48-year age group.

Officials highlighted that, with support from the National IT Board, the Hajj operation has become fully paperless and digitally integrated from start to finish.

The spokesperson added that the mandatory registration process for Hajj 2027 will continue without interruption, while details regarding expenses and other arrangements will be announced during the second phase of the programme.
