Hannah Einbinder mocks Haley Stevens

Actress and comedian Hannah Einbinder has finally revealed her promised impression of Michigan Representative Haley Stevens following Abdul El-Sayed’s victory in the state’s US Senate race.

The Hacks star shared a video on Wednesday, November 4, fulfilling a promise she had made to her Instagram followers the previous evening. Einbinder had said she would showcase her impression of Stevens if her preferred candidate won the election.

Following El-Sayed’s victory, the actress posted a video filmed at a bar with the caption, As promised. In the clip, she mimicked Stevens’ distinctive speaking style and her way of encouraging supporters to challenge their political opponents.

Einbinder also celebrated the election result in a separate post, congratulating El-Sayed with the words, Mazel tov, Abdul.

The comedian’s playful impression comes amid political tensions surrounding Stevens, who lost the Democratic primary to El-Sayed earlier this year. Despite previously pledging to support the party’s nominee, Stevens endorsed Republican candidate Mike Rogers shortly before Election Day, attracting criticism from Democrats.

Stevens defended her decision by pointing to disagreements with El-Sayed’s campaign, including concerns about its conduct, political associations and messaging on Israel.

El-Sayed’s victory marks a historic moment, as he is set to become the first Muslim elected to the US Senate. His campaign placed particular emphasis on healthcare, economic affordability and campaign finance reform.

Einbinder has also been vocal about her political views and support for Palestinian rights. During her acceptance speech at the 2025 Emmy Awards, she expressed solidarity with Palestinians, bringing further attention to her activism.

Her latest video has added a humorous celebrity moment to an election campaign that has been marked by political divisions within the Democratic Party.
