Hanuman Ansh crosses Rs 400 crore worldwide after 52 days

Hanuman Ansh has continued its remarkable box office journey, crossing Rs 400 crore in worldwide collections after 52 days in theatres. The devotional film, which opened to just Rs 10 lakh in August, has emerged as an unexpected success, maintaining strong earnings nearly two months after its release.

The film recorded another impressive weekend during its eighth week in cinemas, collecting Rs 18.95 crore net in India. Sunday contributed approximately Rs 9 crore to the total, helping the film cross the Rs 300 crore mark in domestic net collections.

After 52 days, Hanuman Ansh has earned around Rs 307 crore net in India, while its domestic gross collection stands at approximately Rs 362 crore. The film has also performed well internationally, earning more than $4 million from overseas markets following its release outside India.

With its domestic and international earnings combined, the film’s worldwide gross has reached Rs 402 crore. This achievement has placed Hanuman Ansh among the highest-grossing Indian films, surpassing several popular titles, including Krrish 3, Chennai Express, 3 Idiots and Kantara.

The film has now entered the top 50 highest-grossing Indian movies of all time. Its success is particularly surprising considering its slow start at the box office.

During its first two weeks, Hanuman Ansh reportedly collected only around Rs 1.50 crore, raising doubts about its future in theatres. However, the film gradually attracted audiences and experienced a significant turnaround in the following weeks.

Since its fourth week, the movie has reportedly earned more than Rs 60 crore net every week in India. Its continued performance has helped it maintain momentum long after its initial release, making it an unusual success story at the box office.

Another notable aspect of the film’s achievement is its modest production budget. Made on a reported budget of just Rs 2 crore, Hanuman Ansh does not feature major Bollywood stars or the backing of a large production studio. Despite these limitations, it has managed to achieve impressive commercial success.

If the film continues to perform at its current pace, it could approach the Rs 450 crore worldwide mark. Such a milestone would put it ahead of films including Happy New Year, Vikram and Andhadhun in worldwide gross collections.
