The puzzle has been designed to be tricky. Although the image looks straightforward counting all the triangles is more complicated than it appears.

The key is to pay attention to every detail. The picture contains many small triangles that together form larger triangles.

One way to solve it is by counting the triangles in each section. The diagram has four rows and each row contains six triangles.

By counting all the visible triangles from left to right and top to bottom you get a total of 24 triangles.

However that is not the final answer.

There is one more hidden triangle that many people miss.  It appears in the artist’s signature where the letter “A” is written in a way that also forms a triangle.

So when that hidden triangle is included, the correct answer becomes.
