Imran Khan worried over Bushra Bibi’s health

Former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan has expressed concern over his wife Bushra Bibi’s eye-related health problems and directed his lawyer to pursue legal options to secure relief for her through the courts.

According to sources, Imran Khan was informed about recent political developments, including the possibility of governor’s rule and the federal government’s move to impose an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during a meeting with his lawyer at Adiala Jail on Monday.

The meeting, which took place after a considerable gap, reportedly remained focused on professional and legal matters. This was in line with an earlier mutual understanding that political discussions would not take place during the meeting.

Sources said Imran Khan was already aware of developments outside the prison, including recent constitutional and political changes. However, his lawyer did not brief him on these matters during their interaction.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss Imran Khan’s health. Sources described his condition as satisfactory. However, they said Bushra Bibi was experiencing an eye-related medical problem, which has become a source of concern for the former prime minister.

During the discussion, Imran Khan reportedly instructed his lawyer to explore all available legal avenues, particularly in Bushra Bibi’s cases, to obtain relief through the courts.

He emphasised that the matter should be taken up before the appropriate judicial forums and pursued in accordance with the law.

The meeting took place amid heightened political tensions following developments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the PTI previously held power. Discussions surrounding the possible imposition of an emergency and governor’s rule have raised questions about the party’s political future in the province.

The latest developments have also intensified uncertainty over PTI’s political strategy and its response to potential federal intervention in the province.
