Indian pilot found dead in Delhi hotel

An Indian pilot was found unconscious in a room at a five-star hotel in Delhi and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. The pilot was identified as flight captain Sunny Asaldekar.

According to police, hotel staff found Sunny Asaldekar unconscious inside his room and immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. However, doctors examined him and declared him dead.

Police said the pilot had checked into the hotel on September 10. The following day, his brother contacted the hotel manager after becoming concerned that Sunny was not answering phone calls.

The hotel manager subsequently went to the pilot’s room to check on him. As the door was locked from inside, hotel staff used a master key to gain entry. Sunny was found lying unconscious inside the room.

He was immediately taken to hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

The pilot’s body was later sent for a post-mortem examination at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi. Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact cause of death.

Police said the final cause of death will be established after the post-mortem report is completed and the findings of medical experts are received. Further investigation is expected to determine the circumstances surrounding the pilot’s death.
