According to international media reports, human rights organization FairSquare has announced that it will file a formal complaint against Infantino with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
The organization argues that Infantino violated FIFA’s principle of political neutrality as outlined in its Code of Ethics by publicly supporting Trump on multiple occasions.
FairSquare had previously submitted a similar complaint to FIFA’s Ethics Committee in December 2025.
The complaint also calls for an investigation into the creation of FIFA’s “Peace Prize” and the decision to award it to Donald Trump seeking to determine whether the decision was approved by the FIFA Council or made solely by Infantino.
FIFA has confirmed that its Ethics Committee may conduct a preliminary review but emphasized that receiving a complaint does not automatically lead to formal disciplinary proceedings.
Meanwhile, 50 members of the European Parliament and the Norwegian Football Federation have also backed calls for an investigation into the matter.
