According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is expected to increase the prices of the iPhone 18 Pro series. Apple is reportedly planning to launch the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the company’s first foldable iPhone in September.
The report stated that Apple’s new flagship iPhones will be more expensive than last year’s Pro models. Last year, Apple had avoided increasing the prices of the iPhone 17 series.
The report further said that Apple has been reviewing the strategy adopted by other smartphone companies of increasing device prices. The company has decided to adopt a similar strategy for the iPhone 18 Pro models in order to pass on the increased cost of components to consumers.
It is still difficult to say exactly how much Apple will increase the prices but according to the report, the increase could be around $100. This means the iPhone 18 Pro could start at $1,199 instead of $1,099.
The report said the price increase would be driven by higher costs of RAM and other chips. Along with the iPhone 18 Pro series, Apple is reportedly not planning to launch the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18 Air this year.
According to various leaks, these two models are expected to be introduced sometime in early 2027.
