Iran accuses Israel of influencing US as conflict escalates

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused Israel of exerting undue influence over US policymaking, claiming Washington should focus on alleged Israeli interference instead of warning about foreign influence.

In a post on X, Araghchi pointed to a Time magazine report that said former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale was involved in an Israeli influence campaign aimed at supporters of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.

He also alleged that Israel was using US taxpayer money to suppress American critics, adding that “it will all soon unravel.”

Meanwhile, the conflict between Iran and the United States intensified as US forces struck bridges and an airport in Iran, expanding their military campaign. In response, Tehran launched attacks on US military bases across the Middle East.

Tensions also rose in the Strait of Hormuz, where the renewed fighting has disrupted energy shipments. US Marines boarded a tanker during operations in the waterway, while reports said another vessel was struck by a projectile.

The latest developments come after the collapse of last week’s ceasefire, with both sides continuing to raise military pressure and increasing fears of a broader regional war.
