Reports also claim that Gaga welcomed her daughter through a surrogate. The details emerged after the release of the baby’s reported birth certificate.

The name Rose is believed to have a special connection to Gaga’s career. A source told PEOPLE that the name was inspired by La Vie En Rose, the classic song famously performed by Gaga in the 2018 film A Star Is Born.

The singer has also previously displayed her connection to the song through a tattoo running down her spine. The tattoo features a long-stemmed rose along with the words “la vie en rose.”

The baby’s middle name, Bean, is reportedly a tribute to activist Carl Bean. He was an inspiration behind Gaga’s 2011 hit Born This Way.

News of Gaga’s first child was confirmed on September 11. Sources close to the singer later said she was extremely happy after becoming a mother.

Gaga had previously expressed her desire to have children. An insider said motherhood had always been important to the singer and that she was ready to take some time away from her demanding career.
