LAHORE – The Anti-Rape Court in Lahore has sentenced Muhammad Farooq son of Muhammad Manzoor to 10 years simple imprisonment and a Rs. 50,000 fine in a case involving the alleged commission of an unnatural sexual act against his wife.

According to the warrant of commitment issued by Special Court Judge Zafar Yab Chadhar on August 28, 2026, the accused was convicted under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
How was case registered?
According to court records, the case was registered at Kahna Police Station, Lahore under FIR No. 4979/2025 on March 3, 2025. The prosecution alleged that the accused had forcibly committed an unnatural sexual act with his wife.
After hearing the case and reviewing the available evidence, the court found the accused guilty and sentenced him accordingly.
10 years imprisonment and Rs. 50,000 fine
Under the court’s order, Muhammad Farooq has been sentenced to 10 years simple imprisonment and fined Rs. 50,000. The court ruled that if he fails to pay the fine, he will have to undergo an additional six months of simple imprisonment.

Rs. 300,000 compensation for victim
The court also ordered that the victim be paid Rs. 300,000 in compensation under Section 544-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). The court directed the relevant authorities to ensure implementation of the sentence and ordered that the accused be imprisoned at Central Jail Kot Lakhpat, Lahore.
Warrant issued for Kot Lakhpat Jail
In the warrant issued by Judge Zafar Yab Chadhar, the Superintendent of Central Jail Kot Lakhpat was directed to take Muhammad Farooq into custody and ensure implementation of his sentence in accordance with the law.
The accused was also granted the benefit of Section 382-B of the CrPC under which the period already spent in custody during the trial is counted toward the sentence. The court’s decision is being viewed as significant in terms of legal accountability in cases involving sexual violence against women within domestic settings.
