LAHORE : A speeding 22-wheeler trailer loaded with cement bags crushed a car standing at a traffic signal on Allama Iqbal Road, Garhi Shahu late last night, martyring three members of the same family.
The victims, residents of Shah Jamal, Ichhra, are identified as Muhammad Asim, his wife Huma Asim, and their minor son Talha Asim. Their car No. DX-436 was completely flattened under the trailer.
Rescue 1122 had to use cranes and cutters to recover the bodies. The trailer driver fled from the spot.
FIR has been registered at Garhi Shahu Police Station on the complaint of the elder son, Muhammad Bin Asim.
