According to police officials, the woman, who was wearing a burqa, was allegedly working with her accomplice Waqas alias Kashi to carry out motorcycle thefts in different areas. Investigators said the suspects targeted motorcycles parked outside houses and later sold the stolen vehicles for cheaper prices.

A video of the alleged theft incidents has also emerged, showing the suspects involved in the crime. In the footage, the burqa-clad woman can reportedly be seen riding one of the stolen motorcycles, while other scenes show the theft taking place.

Police officials stated that the suspects were traced with the help of Safe City cameras and local surveillance footage. After receiving confidential information, law enforcement conducted an intelligence-based operation near Sharaqpur Bridge, Atari, where both suspects were arrested.

During the operation, police recovered two stolen motorcycles, a pistol with ammunition, and cash from the suspects. The recovered items were taken into custody as part of the investigation, while the accused were handed over to the investigation wing for further questioning.

Senior police officials said that the use of modern technology, including surveillance cameras and intelligence networks, played an important role in identifying and arresting the suspects. Authorities are continuing the investigation to determine whether the arrested individuals were involved in additional motorcycle theft cases.

Motorcycle theft remains a major concern in urban areas, where criminals often target vehicles parked outside homes, markets, and public places. Police have advised citizens to take preventive measures, such as using security locks, parking vehicles in safe areas, and reporting suspicious activities.
