LAHORE: Police records have reportedly raised questions about a series of criminal cases registered between 2020 and 2026 involving individuals allegedly using different names and lodging complaints at multiple police stations in Lahore. The cases include allegations of sexual assault, abduction, theft and attempted extortion, with investigators examining possible links between the complaints.
According to documents reviewed by *Minute Mirror*, a key development in the investigation involves a mobile number reportedly appearing in applications connected to multiple cases. Police are also said to have examined identity records and the Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS) to determine whether the cases involve the same individuals.
The matter has drawn particular attention following the registration of FIR No. 9016/26 under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code at Kahna Police Station on October 13, 2026. The complainant reportedly accused a Crime Control Department (CCD) official, prompting investigators to review earlier cases associated with the complainant and her family.
Earlier case and DNA findings
The investigation reportedly dates back to an FIR registered at Model Town Police Station in May 2020. The complaint alleged that a 13-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by three individuals while working as a domestic helper.
According to the available record, DNA testing of a newborn baby girl did not match any of the three nominated suspects. Police subsequently described the case as false and baseless and discharged it. However, the precise findings and legal status of the case require confirmation from the original investigation documents.
Multiple cases under review
Police records cited in the report refer to several FIRs registered at Kot Lakhpat, Nishtar Colony, Manga Mandi and other police stations. Some cases were reportedly discharged, while others remained at the stage of incomplete challans, indicating that their investigations or legal proceedings had not reached final resolution.
The documents reportedly include FIR No. 1778/25 at Nishtar Colony, FIR Nos. 7084/23 and 3552/23 at Kot Lakhpat, FIR No. 278/24 at Kot Lakhpat, and FIR No. 2953/25 at Manga Mandi.
Investigators are reportedly examining whether discrepancies in names, ages and other identity details could establish a connection between the complaints. The report also refers to records showing different ages for an alleged victim in cases registered in 2020 and 2023.
Alleged extortion and theft case
The latest complaint involving a CCD official has raised questions about possible pressure tactics, although any allegation of extortion remains subject to investigation and judicial determination.
Separately, FIR No. 1751/26 at Nawab Town Police Station reportedly concerns an alleged theft of Rs60 million. The complainant in the current cases is said to have been accused in that matter, according to the documents cited in the report.
Police are reportedly considering whether legal action under Sections 420, 468 and 471 of the Pakistan Penal Code may be warranted, depending on the findings of the investigation.
Authorities are examining the available records to establish whether the cases are connected and whether any criminal conspiracy occurred.
The allegations have not been established as proven facts. The status of each FIR, the evidence supporting the complaints and any findings against the individuals involved must be verified through official police records and court documents. All persons named in connection with the cases are entitled to due process, and guilt can only be determined by a competent court.
