LAHORE: The Lahore Press Club’s Governing Body has established a Constitutional Reforms Committee to undertake a comprehensive review of the club’s existing constitution and recommend amendments aimed at strengthening its institutional framework.
According to a notification issued on August 27, 2026, Shafiq Awan has been appointed chairman of the 10-member committee. The notification was issued by Lahore Press Club General Secretary Afzal Talib.
The committee will examine the current constitution, identify areas requiring changes and formulate proposals for necessary amendments and reforms. It has also been assigned the task of compiling the revised constitution into a comprehensive book for formal record and reference.
The committee comprises Babar Dogar, Shadab Riaz, Raja Riaz, Abid Tehami, Mubashir Bukhari, Arsalan Rafiq Bhatti, Khawaja Naseer, Ashraf Sohail and Tamsila Chishti, besides chairman Shafiq Awan.
